TRESPASS OF ABANDONED HOME - 1800 BLOCK OF ANDREWS ST.
1/9/2013 - 10:47:00 AM

1/9/13 @ 10:47 A.M. - WYBPD received a phone call reporting that unknown person(s) were to be squatting in and abandoned single family dwelling located within the 1800 block of Andrew St.    WYBPD verified that this home was in fact abandoned, being owned by Wells Fargo, and to have been previously condemned and declared unfit for human occupancy due to numerous health code violations and infestations of insects and rodents.

@ 10:49 A.M. - WYBPD responded to this abandoned home and observed that the plywood that had been previously affixed to entrances had been pried loose.   Patrolman than searched the interior of the residence and located a perpetrator hiding on the second floor and in a bedroom who admitted to "squatting" in the home as he had no other place to reside.

The perpetrator was identified as Codey WALKER, 18 Y.O.A. W/M, with No Fixed Address.   WALKER appeared filthy and disheveled and otherwise suffering from poor hygiene.   A patrolman also observed a glass jar containing suspected marijuana, labeled "Codey's Weed" along with two smoking devices, one constructed with aluminum foil, which was determined to be narcotic paraphernalia.

CODEY was transported forthwith to Central Booking forthwith for processing and arraignment on criminal charges stemming from this incident.

*UPDATE:  CODEY has been freed on $2,500 un-secure or ROR bail by MDJ Scott Laird
