REPORTABLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT - 1200 BLK W. KING ST.

03/26/2014 @ 6:02 - WYBPD, WYFD and WYAMB were all dispatched to respond to the 1200 block of W. King St for a single vehicle accident in which a telephone pole was struck.  
 
@ 6:04 WYBPD arrived on scene and observed a Green Jeep with heavy front and rear end damage stopped inthe middle of the York Roofing company's parking lot.  
 
Police made contact with the driver that stateed that she was traveling east bound on W. King St when a silver vehicle approached the intersection W. King and Hoke St. and attempted to enter her lane of travel.
 
She then jerked the wheel to the left attempting to avoid a collision which in turn caused her to lose control of the vehicle. WYAMB arrived on scene which the driver refused treatment.  

The path of the striking vehicle is as follows:
 
Once the driver jerked the wheel to the left the vehicle drove on and over the curb striking the porch of 1289 W. King street, the path then continued east through the parking lot of the York Roofing Co. and striking a telephone pole (#27873-22703) and  driving through the York Roofing Co stairs / railings, the vehicle then bounced off of the telephone pole and drifted backwards striking a parked vehicle (gold Saturn), the parked vehicle was pushed into another vehicle(maroon Chevy truck)  causing minor damage.   The green Jeep came to rest after striking the parked vehicle.    

The porch located at 1289 W. King St. suffered moderate damage, the York Roofing Co, stairs / railings suffered moderate damage, the telephone was replaced by Met-Ed, and the parked vehicle (gold Saturn) suffered minor damage to the front bumper, the maroon Chevy suffered minor damage as well.  The striking vehicle sustained serious damage to the front and the rear which was towed by J and K salvage. 

All property owners were contacted and were advised to have damage estimates completed and then forward them to WYBPD.
