RESIDENTIAL BURLGARY - 1700 BLOCK OF W. MARKET ST

1/31/13 @ 8:10 A.M. - WYBPD radio dispatched to 1700 block of W. Market St, respond to garage burglary.
 
@ 8:13 A.M. - WYBPD arrived at the residence and was met by one of the two owners. The patrolmen were shown a detached garage that had a wooden door and a plastic window. The plastic was melted into a circular pattern big enough for a hand to fit in the hole. The complaintant stated that he had secured the garage at 3:00 P.M. the day before, and that when he came out to warm up his car at 7:40 A.M. , he noticed his rims were gone. The complaintant stated that two sets of chrome rims, valued at $800, and a yellow novelty license plate on the front of his vehicle were stolen. The other co-owner of the garage informed tha patrolman that he arrived home from work at 1:00 A.M. that morning, and that the rims were still in the garage, and the hole was not melted in the plastic window. The door, plastic window, and front of the vehicle were dusted for fingerprints to which no usable prints were founded.
